Salary: £21,965 – £24,586 pro rata per annum (dependent on relevant skills and experience)

 

Conditions: 22.5 hours per week – contract to 31 July 2018

An exciting project based in Maidstone, the Kent Community Rail Partnership works with schools, workplaces, communities and local stakeholders, in order to deliver passenger growth and improvements to rail services and station environments on two local rail lines – the Medway Valley Line and SwaleRail.  The aim is to take the railway out into the community to engage new users and help them choose rail and active travel for more journeys.

Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have experience of project management, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, experience of delivering community engagement projects, experience of successful partnership working and have the ability to motivate and enthuse others.  You will also have experience of working with / in the voluntary and/ or community sectors and have an understanding of local political processes and structures.  You will be IT literate, have the ability to plan and prioritise workload, be organised and methodical and be committed to the promotion of sustainable transport.
