One of the benefits of being a Designated Community Rail Service is the opportunity to negotiate timetable improvements with the Train Operator.
Marston Vale Line pleased to confirm they have achieved this for the new timetable that came into effect on Monday following a number of requests from local residents over the last few months.
The principal change is an earlier first train from Bedford departing 06:10, to arrive Bletchley at 06:53 to connect with the 07:00 fast train to London Euston.
This means that Marston Vale Line passengers will arrive at Euston at 07:39 as opposed to 08:06 currently. The earlier first train also provides a connection to the 07:06 Southern service to East Croydon. There are a number of other improvements including the introduction of a clockface timetable for services from Bletchley in the morning.
