Ian is the link between community rail activities across the north of England, working closely with Community Rail Partnerships, Station Adoption and Friends Groups as well as national developments in community rail.
Working for international & national charity organisations for over twenty years, Ian has great experience and knowledge specialising in community engagement, mental health, learning disabilities and dementia care fields.
As a qualified teacher Ian has worked for several years with vulnerable young people and adults with specialist support needs to gain confidence, self-esteem and participation in community projects.
Ian has a real passion for working with communities is especially about social inclusion, diversity and beneficial community projects for all.
Ian has a great love of nature and the natural world and spends his time looking through his telescope at the craters of the moon. Ian also loves soup!
